Her experiences extend to working within trans-disciplinary teams using evidenced- based interventions, such as ABA, applied within a clinic, home and school setting. She has also worked extensively in a Positive Behaviour Support role, facilitating a person centred approach to understanding and supporting behaviours.
Amour has largely worked in a family support role, running multiple parent support and autism education groups. Her experiences involve working alongside state and national agencies in providing families who are experiencing grief or stress as a result of their child’s diagnosis with direct and group counselling. She has an interpersonal approach to her practice, often working closely with multiple members of her clients’ care team (parents, teachers, allied health professionals) which centres on the best outcomes for her clients.
