Louisa is a psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. As a psychologist she has worked with children, adults and families with a variety of needs. Louisa has experience working in a psychiatric hospital setting, co-facilitating group therapy for both adult inpatients and outpatients presenting with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Louisa has been trained to use assessments, treatments and interventions that are supported by evidence-based research such as assertiveness training, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
At The Charles Street Clinic, Louisa has had years of experience as a developmental and behavioural therapist working with children with developmental delays and disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and anxiety. She works closely with parents, teachers and allied health professionals utilising a collaborative and systemic approach to the social, emotional and behavioural development of her clients. Louisa has a keen interest in group therapy and, with her colleagues, has contributed to the development of a social skills program for young children, which she co-facilitates through The Charles Street Clinic.
